Volunteer with the ReStore!

Volunteers needed Friday & Saturday

The Habitat ReStore relies on the invaluable help of its many dedicated volunteers. The ReStore is a friendly place to volunteer, meet interesting people, and help build community as part of Springfield/Eugene Habitat for Humanity.

We need volunteers to work regular schedules and to be on-call. Store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm. Shifts are at least four hours. We try to accommodate your schedule when possible, but volunteers who can make a longer-term commitment will have first choice.

Regular volunteer positions include cashier and customer service, office assistance, merchandise stocker, donation receiver, donation truck driver and driver’s helper. We also need volunteers for special events in the Eugene/Springfield community.

Group Service Opportunities

The ReStore welcomes schools, organizations and businesses that would like to volunteer time for a service project or day with Habitat for Humanity.  There are many interesting and rewarding opportunities available every year through the ReStore.

Service Application Process

Due to the number of requests we get every month, was have an application process to make it more efficient for us to accomodate interested groups.  We will have an application form link on this page very soon.  In the meantime, to apply for a service opportunity, please send an e-mail with the following information.

  • The name of your organization
  • Contact name, phone number and e-mail (if different from the sent e-mail)
  • Best time to reach the contact person
  • The number of people expected (a range is acceptable)
  • The age of the individuals participating
  • The date you are interested in (please include backup dates if possible)
  • A short explanation of what you hope to get from your group's volunteer efforts and how Habitat might help you achieve those results.
  • If your group has participated in other service projects, please give an example of the kind of project and its effectiveness.

We will respond to all requests even if we are unable to accomodate your group.
